Health centres and other primary care
Health centres will help you on the day you fall ill, are injured or need advice about your health.
Your care centre employs care staff with a broad range of competencies who can help you with the most common diseases, chronic diseases, many of the diseases that affect children and older people, mental health problems and various injuries.
Care centres form the foundation on which both primary care and Skåne’s general health care rest. Primary care will, if needed, refer you to hospital care.

LGBTQI
Region Skåne has a number of health clinics that are LGBTQI certified by the Swedish Federation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersex Rights (RFSL).
LGBTQI certification aims to give clinic staff a better understanding of the needs of different patients, thereby enabling them to provide the best possible care to everyone regardless of their sexual or gender identity.
In recent years, staff at some twenty clinics have received training via RFSL Advisory Service Skåne (RFSL Rådgivningen Skåne) to increase their LGBTQI awareness.
